Reporter Hanna Koivisto and photographer Linda Baarman visited us during the autumn dig of general Sergei Kabanovs underground command post 1.10. – 5.10.2021. The result is a very nice article about the WW2 conflict archaeology project "Hanko 1941".

What I found especially nice about the article is how it was written. It was catchy and informative and still very scientific at the same time in it´s approach to WW2 and community archaeology in particular.

The excavations of the underground command post continue between the 2nd - 13th of May and 5th - 16th of September 2022. Next years excavation will mostly be financed by Mr. Kari Karvinen but will also include a community archaeology leg in co-operation with Hangö Sommaruni.
